More images from the BSCC archive…

Elliot Davis (a pretty handy roadie and track rider himself with a nice colnago) pointed out that one of the ‘runners’ in a previous pic was Phil Edwards, a super-domestique of Moser’s in the 1970s. it’s amazing what turns up. he looked like he was handing a musette to one of the riders. Phil Edwards was born in Corsham, not all that far away from here.

anyway, here are a few more pics from the archive… including the amazing bob maitland with the BSA team (centre). i’d speculate this was taken at the Weston Grand Prix, in 1952 or 1953. other team members in the picture are “Tiny” Thomas, Pete Proctor, Alf Newman and Stan Jones.
