      not sure, used to think it was about 190 until i went up alpe d’huez once and it went through the roof. i stick it at around 190 though.

        Wowsers, that’s what I call going eyeballs out, ave 15 BPM below max for 25 miles. Sheesh. That’s like one very long hill climb.

        you have to go to the threshold; it’s feasible that you should be able to hold at or near for just about an hour. In terms of pacing, i have this simple dialogue in my head; “can i hold this pace for x many miles”, to which the answer has to be ‘maybe’. If it’s ‘yes’, i’m going to slowly, if it’s ‘no’, i’m going to blow up.

      i think that’s an average taken from strava, i don’t use a power meter. i’m not sure how they calculate it or how reliable it is…
